I personally think this will be a collector`s item worth more than any smick 4 door ca18det 1200 or any 1200 ute. The grille is awesome simple beauty at its best. Even Ford XR GT copied them in 66-67 as this grille was on show since the 63-64 tokyo car exhibition.
They are so little next to a 1200 and at 615kg from factory so darn minimus maximus. I prefer the original old style square dash on these it suits their body lines and the coupe dash suits the fastback coupe only much like on 260z etc.
My van in the same colour is almost ready from its long term full respray cant wait.

This summer I hope to have both on the road for a shoot. The van first then much later the chop top 2 door sedan. However now I wished I had a clean 1k ute the love for all types of 1ks continues.... I know I want 1 k.

Yes the coupe dash is unique
but the if you want to fit one to other model 1000,s you need to unpick and weld in the coupe dash frame
This is not that bad if you are doing a complete rebulid
Dont forget you wiil need all the coupe dash bits Ie ,ash try, gauges knobs and switchs
My wagon which is my next project after 1000 rat ute
1000 wagon coupe dash and front panels, one piece rear windows 4age power
all these 1000s will be built to the some standards as my road and race coupes
Cheers mark

They have the indicators below the bumper. Its a completely different front valance panel. I assume they are interchangeable. Dont think the guards are different, could be wrong!

The guards are the same but the front stone guard is also unique to the coupe - the indicators are below the bumper and the bumper sits higher closer to the grille
