#1 steering wheel laws

Okay this is really pissing me off apparently as of the 1st of december this year all wooden steering wheels, unless factory will be illegal! Due to the increase in young death, from head trauma on hard wooden steering wheels and the glare from the metal spkes and the apparent slipperyness of the steering wheel itself the government is going to make them a defectable item!

I love my wooden steering wheel, i used to have a plastic one and i don't see how any of these factors are different to that of a normal steering wheel, #### it your hands get sweaty and slippery on leather steering wheels too and they aren't much softer, so head trauma would still be ####in fatal! AAARRRRGGGHHH,

You think that is Austarlia wide - or just in QLD?

I reckon those wooden wheels woud be more of a danger if they splinter in an accident, and injure the driver that way.

Get one of the old school little black wheels with three spokes with the holes in the spokes... perfect for a datsun
