why are you taking the head off anyway? if you're going to rebuild it just buy mine to save you time running in and money

Yeah...well one socket was 16.95 or 50 for the set of 8...thought why not.

Your engine is tempting lag - but I'm pulling this motor apart for the experience. I have a turbo motor as well - if I had that extra grand kicking about I'd be at your door. That manifold looked awesome too!

I bought a koken 1/2" drive impact socket to get mine undone, about $20 or so, they only had 10mm in impact so that's what I got. Worked a treat too, except clearance is a tad tight especially where the hex parts on the camshafts are. My bolts were very tight- I had a 3/8" drive in hex set but I just got the 'somethings gonna give and it's not the bolt' feeling so go the koken socket. I like Koken tools but they are a bit dear so I don't have many.

Those Koken tools look very nice! I've never seen them in Australia. The oval shank on the T bars is a smart idea, their. The nut busters look pretty cool too.http://www.koken-tool.co.jp/en/

Can anyone tel me what the torque spec for the head bolts and rod bolts is. im about to put my pistons back in after fresh rings and head back on with new gasket and i need these specs. thanx
