I've got a ca18de in my wagon. Its got an air filter and exhaust, doesn't run to bad just wish it went a bit faster. that's why i am goin to turbo the bastrd once i get my ute on the road. Does your girlfriend no much about cars?

Yeah..I had a ca18de once..long ago. Then I had to 'turbo the bastard'.

the N/A motors have about 100Kw @6400 RPM, 162Nm @ 5200 RPM.

Give me the GB ratios and I'll tell u what my little 1/4 mile calc says.

rough guess 6.6 sec and 14.8 sec.

Datsik- 14.8 is possibly a bit optimistic- the calculator I use reckons 15.2....

but it comes down to a lot of factors on the day- either way it should be a good fun package, & once you have the CA in it, sneaking a turbo and some forgies into it later should be easy enough. You might want to upgrade your diff straight away if you can afford it, save you from getting driveshafts made up twice.

my mate just put an sr20de throttle body on hes n/a ca s13. he said it made a big difference. i think its like 6mm bigger or something (54mm to 60mm?)
