I took my dirty ol' B110 to the drags today, for the first time. My only goal was to get a few runs in, and see where things were at.
Only managed three runs before I has battery trouble. The best run of the three was 14.6 .
Nothing to make a song and dance about, but I think it's a good starting point. considering it was on pump gas, and with street tyres.
There were also some issues surrounding my clutch too.
Once I get a few more things sorted, I know I can do better.
I intend to crack 13 seconds, or blow the engine trying.

That's a good starting point Bart.

What gearbox/clutch are you running and is your diff still open?

at present, I'm running a 60 series dogleg five speed, with a 200mm (L seires) presure plate and 200mm friction plate. I bought the cheaper option when I bought them, (It was suposed to be an LD20 P/Plate) but they aint up to the job. (Once I upgrade to my 63 series box, that'll be getting uprated big time!)

My diff is an H150 which has had the spring loaded locker (Or phantom grip) modification carried out on it. Works a treat! When doing my pre pass burnout, I can fry both the rears.

14.6 seconds in the quarter mile is quick! That is close to the acceleration of the faster car sold in USA in 1985 (Porsche 928 S4, low 14s, followed by Mustang 5.0 Holley Carb at about 14.4 seconds). And faster than most "muscle cars" of the 1960s (although a very few broke into the high 13s).

Well done. Can't wait to hear how she goes next time.

You are doing better than you think. Take a step back and follow your plan....better octane gas....and tires....important.....a must....
You are there...this was just a tasting of the waters...

is this the supercharged a series?

nice work! finally a forced induction a series with some actual numbers!

sounds like you have a setup that works well!

14.6 is a very good time.. i can respect that especially since my standard 12a rotary could only manage 15.5

i too hope to crack 13's.. with my bridgeport

Yes, it is the blown A15.
A bloke came up to me in the pits, and asked me if I wanted some race tyres. I asked how much, and he said free. You can't sneeze at a free pair of A008R's, even half worn ones.
I'll be runing those next time. With that and a plethora of other small improvements the tenths will be dropping like flys.
