I have put an L18 in a 1200 coupe running Jag SU's.

Took it out to calder park yesterday for its first run.

It was suffering from fuel starvation.

When you held the revs above 5K you could see the fuel in the filter slowly dropping until there wasn't any left.

I changed the filter but this did not help.

Has anybody experienced this problem and if so, do they know of any remedy?

what size fuel line are you using, maybe you need to go up a size, not to forget the outlet at the tank,it's tiny as well.or maybe the filter is collapsing internally.

In the "old days", my brothers L20B (2.4) had twin 48DCOE webers. And he had to run a High Volume Low Pressure Aftermarket fuel pump (less than 10PSI) and a low pressure fuel pressure regulator set to about 5PSI.

to need 5psi (without turb) is pretty high but i though mechanical fuel pumps could make that

can have 100,00000 psi but with out volume what u gunna do with it? anyways i recon try a electrick pump from a wreckers or somethin and see if that fixes it.. but maybe your mechanical pump is just plain ####ed.. thay normaly put out lots of volume and should keep up

some model bluebirds came with an electric fuel pump,(a facet one i think),give that a try.should be the right volume & psi for webers.
