Yes sad news indeed!!! I do have a 2000 altima and only one problem had to replace the idler pulley and normal stuff for tune-ups talk about crammed in stuff for replacing items ie air and oil filters, other than that a damn good car!!

nissan stopped caring about datsun along time ago,
they werent great cars then and they certainly dont care about some rusting wrecks in a warehouse.
i hate renult as much as the next bloke,but i wont buy there cars or nissans because they are euro pieces of crap.not because they crushed a few cars.
you all say they are worth money but how many of you would put up the money to buy one.
classic old cars in australia go for more than 100k.
and in america some mopar and chev stuff sells for 250k plus.
i may be wrong but would anybody actually pay that much for a datsun?
