the companion question would be, are b110 & b210 strut towers similar enough to allow camber plate interchangeability?

i would say yes as my old ute had 120y brakes... as long as the measurements are the same between the bolt spacings 100mm equally from memory

yeah, i was just wondering why there would be different part #'s in the cusco catalog

same thing goes for using s113 plates on a 510, i guess

120y's have a smaller opening at the top of the strut tower, it's 80mm compared to the 92mm from 1200's and other models have even larger holes

why not just use s13 or r31 ones in the 120y?
they fit easily wnough, just have to machine some more camber adjustment into them.

easier to get 2nd hand s13 ones than brand new b110 ones (im guessing the are made to order)

I think the bolt holes in the strut towers are slightly smaller in diameter in the 1200's. Its only a matter of a millimeter or two though. Other than that I'm pretty sure they're the same. The centre hole is smaller i think because the 120y struts are flat on top, while the 1200 ones poke through the top of the strut tower a little way.

Remember these general guidlelines:

* 74-75 B210 suspension similar to B110
* 76-78 B210 suspension bigger
* A12 suspension smaller than A14 suspension

This is true more or less both in USA and in JDM. What this means is we cannot really guess at this, we need to be very specific.

well to be exact, i used a round file to relive about .5mm from each strut bolt hole. this gave it an exact fit. no drilling or anything.
Should be same for 120y (in aus anyway)

i think dd is talking about things other than the strut towers

ok mik, you used plates that were originally made for s13 on your 1200?

i thought those were just for 510's

so the cusco catalog lists different part #'s but the plates only vary slightly

in other words, many nissan plates fit the same strut tower bolt pattern

510/s13 plates are able to be installed into a 110/210/310, the only thing is you will be installing them in the reverse of their designed rotation. this will reduce the max negative camber possible out of the tops.

these are 110/210/310 plates i believe ....

these are 510 tops .....

you can see difference between the slot in the main plate in the 2 pics that will determine the amount of negative camber you can achieve.

i run the same plates as the bottom set in my sedan but i have had around 10mm machined out of the slot to get further adjustment, similar to the top set have.
