the diameter of the datsun hub has to be machined down that much so that it fits inside the s13 disc, as the s13 disc now goes between the hub and the wheel rather than behind the hub like standard datsun ones

Here ya go. Picture speaks a thousand words. Machine/grind the outer part of the hub down to about 140mm diameter.

cheers Bundy, i think i get it now
you couldn't measure how far the caliper sticks out in front of the rotor's surface.
then i'd know for sure if they will fit.

what is the exact thickness of the bracket, as this will determine the location of the caliper in relation to the rotor.
does the thickness of the rotor need to be machined, if so how much?

everything else seems to be straight forward but i'm still unsure of the bracket as i don't have the new calipers yet,
any chance of getting a scaled picture of the back of the bracket showing the bolt spacing.
as this car is my daily driver i want to get everything pre-made to just bolt on when ready.

Cheers mate, you have no idea how much i appreciate the time your taking to help me and the others who decide to do ur upgrade.

ps. the beers are on me next time your in melbourne

Hay dude, I am not sure what you mean about how far the caliper sticks out in front of the rotors surface. I will take some measurements this arvo and let you know the bracket thickness. I did not have to do any machineing of the rotor, you could go out and buy a brand new replacement rotor and bolt it on with no worries. It would be allot easier to just buy the brackets of KEV but if you are trying to save a few bucks I understand. Its just if the measurements are out by even 1mm or 2 it will make bolting everything up very hard.

I will try and be accurate.

Hope your mate is good with the OXY or PLASMA cutter.
