you posted while I was writing my reply actually! but your NA SR20 wouldn't have a chance buddy! Don't make me bring my climate controlled, electric everything, standard engined road car down there to embarass you on the track

Yes, Andrew's car is awesome. I've seen it dissapear into the distance on Conrod first hand... but my GT-R is standard apart from exhaust, springs and shocks... And I wonder how much all his mods would add up to over the years to get it to that level? I know Andrew does all the work himself, but the amount of money that went into my 1200 doing it all myself over the years was enough!

with harry piping it, that just about completes the thread i think

of course, you aussie's have it better (or worse, depending on how you look at it) because they are still very expensive over here and cannot be registered (legally) as street cars anymore

it's typical for the nicer r32 gt-r street cars here have about $75-100k into them (usd of course)

Consider yourself lucky... Here every owner thinks they own the quickest car in the world. See above for an example.

Add to the mix STi owners syndrome and you got some fun.

mate, I reckon I could take you on my Federal road tyres!

but seriously, I would like to come and drive on a few of the tracks in NSW - particularly Oran Park GP and the Creek. A bit of a grudge match would spice it up a bit... maybe we should arrange something later in the year?

yeah sounds good
OP sounds good lots twisty and HP bits to "compare" our investments on.
I might even get Teretongas Kuhmo powermax tyres flown back from NZ to help you out a bit. they are over 15 years old and have unvulcanised themselves. (if there is such a term)

I have to say - this post makes me laugh. I'm fairly new to the Datsun scene - but not to the custom/unique car scene. Can I just say - is it only me that gets satisfaction from seeing a truely unique vehicle cruising the streets? I think there is nothing more satisfying than driving a car thats unique compared to that of a typical nissan skyline / silvia / etc. Sure there is the obvious power of a GT-R Skyline or a modified ca18 Silvia - but I'd pay the person who could be more satisfied driving a run of the mill Skyline, as opposed to a custom Datsun. I can appreciate the place a Skyline has in the market - but I am dumbfounded if I can find a place for it on this website.

yeah I don't get it either! GT-Rs are boring, common and have no character! Why would you want to drive one of the best production touring cars ever built?

the gtst and the gtr are 2 totally different animals.
if you read my post a bit more carefully you will see im refering to the gtst. which are poop in my opinion.
you cant compare a gtst and a gtr, its like comparing a rx and wrx.
id have a gtr, not a gtst again.
