1.5mm machined out of the bore diameter!?
Don't know a lot about A14's, but in a lot of engines you'd be getting close to the water jackets.

Hi Sparky

Great idea.
I am just a bit worried about your gearbox for drag racing. GX 4 speed does'nt say anything. As far as I know it is just a standard 4 speed and according to some guys on this website they are a bit weak.
See if you can put in a bakkie 5 speed. Willing to pull 500kg on the back tells me it will be willing to do the 1/4 mile.
Otherwise sounds great.
If you want, I can PM you Minnesh's number so that you can get some more ideas for your GX.
He was in one of those Speed & Sound issues with that quick naturally aspirated A14 powered Datsun 4 door sedan.
Something like 13.8 seconds 1/4 mile in Durban.
Let me know.

I am not a great fan of turbo and stuff, sure they make alot of power but anyone with the money can have a fast turbo car.
Having a normally asperated thats really strong takes some brain power!

An NA A series can be a great little performer but they are not going to set the world on fire as a drag racing motor.
