By using the conversion factor, 1 hp = 0.746 kw, we can see that the maximum output of the Datsun 1200 engine of 68 hp will convert to 50.728 killer-watts at the flywheel.
[Conversion info source, ... Gregories 1200 manual]

38kw at the wheels is about the max you'll get. That's with a properly tuned-to-factory-specs A12.

At the flywheel, the max is 69 hp, other years/countries have 68hp.

69 HP

David is right, my Gregories says 68hp, but my Australian sales brochure says 69hp, which then converts to 51.474 killer-watts at the flywheel.

Interestingly, it would seem, the power rating for English speaking countries seems to be 69 Hp, SAE, while the rating on my original JDM tag for the B110 is 68 Hp PS.

This is a hikacked image as the tag is in better condition than mine, but it shows the difference.

OOPS, I stand corrected, this is an English text tag with 68 Hp

The ones I've seen marked 69 hp are 1971 models. 1972 and 1973 were marked 68 hp. Be interesting to see if anyone has a 1972 model year marked with 69 HP.

Recently a lot of new cars were re-rated due to a clarification of the SAE test procedure. But I think the reason for the 1971-1972 change was the small drop in A12 compression ratio.
