Well i finnaly got the A15 running!!!
Just that the manifold i got my hands on doesnt have coolant galleries, but the head has 3 holes for coolant to pass through. I tried a nice blob of silicone(i know i know) but it blew it out as soon as i revved it What can i do fellas? I also have a vannette manifold that has the galleries but in order for it to clear the extracters i have to cut it away where the coolant gallery is... Maybe i could block that somehow?

grub screws? I used little welch plugs in my L20B, but the holes were much bigger.

How big/little are these holes?
I'm thinking of tapping them to suit a brass plug, say 1/8" BSP for example. Coupled with a dose of thread sealant you should be on a winner. You will need something mecahanically robust as you have already determined.

yeh what i ended up doing is tapping the holes and cut down a bolt into 3 sections and hack sawed a flat in it so i could screw it in flush. I used a touch of blue-poo just to be sure.
It had 3 smaller holes in the head.

Hylomar (the blue stuff they use to block the inlet ports in Peripheral Port rotaries) would fo the job nicely also...
Maybe overkill though

The *best* way -- which is not the cheapest or easiest -- if to use an intake manifold that covers the holes. For example, the Tomei twin-DCOE manifold does this. It doesn't have coolant passages, but the mounting face goes down over the ones in the head. So a stock A14 or A12GX gasket works with it.

I dont think Hylomar sticks to Alloy heads though... You can view topic.
