well that is an interesting idea, well to be honest i bet your carby currently would poo all over my injection, my car won't idle by itself for more than a minute before mysteriously going rich and stalling, it has a massive flat spot for the first 1/8th throttle and pigroots when cruising at 60kms in 5th, it leaves a lot to be desired, i can at least say full throttle/boost is fine, except for detonation which led to me removing timing/performance. Thats what you get when you leave your car with a bunch of hobbos who promise results then proceed to gyp you, hell what am i complaining for $1600 to wire 4 wires for my oxy sensor and wire in a thermo relay and spend an hour or 2 on the dyno is a bargain . Especially when they spin #### and say it maxed at 100rwkw/8psi because the 440cc injectors and new vlturbo pump are out of flow, usless monkeys had me set at 15psi base pressure Oh and they happened to have a set of reco 550cc injectors sitting there that would be PERFECT! pm if you want to no where not to go!!!!! But enough whinging.
The pump is from here, all looks really proffesional!

id say combustion chamber shape and piston shape has alot to do with it

there is a guy down the road from me that builds motor (builds as in manufactures/designs) and also did some manifold port work for a V8 supercar

he was able to make a 202 run 15:1 compression on pump fuel with no pinging, mainly because the chambers were perfectly shaped
so its something to think about

Wow 15:1 out of anything on pump fuel is incredible let alone a 202. Might have to send him a head haha

Sikdatto, I emailed this mob and the pumn that I think you were referring to was actually an upgrade kit from 150 to 220 psi. the actual price of the 150psi pump is $399 ($550 rrp) so yeah, not so cheap.

I went to a boat shop today, you can get 45psi pumps for around $95-140, but they are all designed for high flow applications-wash down and bilge I spose. 45psi might do the job.......

oh ok thanks dude i totally missed that, seems like itd be cheaper to buy the whole kit than just a pump! If it was a draw through setup id be laughing ive heard you can easilly setup a system spraying into the compressor nut using a w/washer motor and small jet, but my stupid intercooler would get in the way, ive dialled in more fuel and added a bit of timing, goes better now!

Yeah, you can, but you really want the water injected after the compressor for a non intercooled or after the intercooler if you have one. An air to air cooler can only get the charge temp down to ambient at best, but water inj. can get you down below ambient, so its best to knock the initial heat out with the intercooler and then get things properly cold with the water.
