foley huck! I almost missed this thread put me down:

Rally1200 I:2 E:2
Dattoman_1000 I:2 E: 2
dattodevil I: 1
pager I: 1 E: 1
Beattie I: 1 (steel 1pc, oval)
Cable_tie I: 3 alloy 2 Mild E: 5 (all Oval)
LAGWAGON: I: 1 E: 1
boofhead: I: 1 E: 1
Grunterhunter I: 2 E: 1

wouldn't mind a mild steel inlet and a alloy one if there are the numbers for mild steel (what I would really like is a stainless inlet, but let's not complicate things)

Anyone have any clues as to what Mild Steel weighs by the cubic centimetre? approximately???

7.85g per cc for steel
2.56g per cc for alloy

you should be able to get an area from the cad drawings and work it out from that easy enough.

Cool mate cheers. So I've estimated final weights for each manifold flange:

Exhaust will be just under 1kg (900gms)
Alloy inlet - 300gms
Steel Inlet - 900gms

For a quote - add up you order and use the Australia Post Calculator

Or I can just send it in a 3kg satchel for $9

Now - are we happy with the current design or are there any changes I should make (ie the bracing as per Rally1200's headers?

I'll do some quick maths but I think I may need some deposits otherwise I won't see much of my pay this week

Will keep everyone posted...

oh yeah... bump!

Sounds good, All of WA guys are gonna share postage by the sounds of it. I recon everyone should add matirial and port design to the list to clear things up.

Im more then happy to pay direct deposit in advance! I trust you

Ive added 1 alloy inlet to my list...

I think mostly everybody wants oval ports - am I wrong?

I can get some round ports done, but unless the quantity is there it's going to be an expensive manifold

I second the motion to have the brace on the bottom for the exhaust manifolds. As they are shown I would have to remove the (inlet) joiner to get around my extractors.
