I've been scouring the web like crazy tonight to no avail.

A past member of this club Mikko1200 had a set of blueprints on his website I could determine from some posts, the website is just not available anymore.

IDEA: Would a panel beater have this information? Used for when they had to straighten the chassis of a Datsun?

Yeh as you said, somewhere there would have to be a record of the dimensions...

Patent office?
Crash safety / structural information data?

But in the mean time, I have downloaded the blueprints for the coupe.
Going to model the coupe, then chop the rear section off and convert it into a ute.

I superimposed the coupe over a photo of the ute from side on, looks to be the same.

The back window of the ute is inline with the back of the "B pillar" on the coupe, with curved side panels to blend into the flat line of the tray top.

The crease that runs along the side from the front quater thru the door to the tail light is the same...

seems the utes and the coupes share more then just the doors and front section, maybe one of these after market replacement ute rear quaters could be grafted onto a coupe with only slight modification?? (to repair rusty coupe)?

And yeh somehow I found that micko1200's email in a google search so I've emailed him to see if hes got some ute blueprints

cheers for the help fellas

How did you go with finding a good set of blueprints....I've sent of a few emails with no response.

Still thinking of asking my panel beater friend...

Here's a nice 240Z model - for a different racing game, but may be useable.

As long as the pic is less than 1024x1024 pixels and also less than 100kb in size you can post it by clicking on the Photo Album link on the left, then clicking on the submit link.

If the file is bigger than that you can resize it following these instructions,
http://datsun1200.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=23067&forum=1

or just email to me if you like and I'll resize and post it.
