dodgeman, any chance the Boss might make the trip up to Mt Cotton for the Australian Champs this year? Would love to see the car in action.

SO which hillclimb at mount panorama is that?

Obviously not the esses, but is it the Supersprint Conrod Straight or Mountain Straight?

My guess is Mountain straight....but I'll wait to confirm with you woody.

My sports sedan has run at PI , Winton and 2 other tracks I can't remember right now (I'll get the info out of the log book).
Sadly not with me in it and I don't have times

I do have times for Barbagello long and short circuit I'll post up when I get home
Bit hard to compare though

I did a 62.52 on the QR Sprint Track today. I was really hoping to at least dip into the 61's but I'm still struggling with a soft brake pedal and understeer. I will make some changes before the May meet and see if I can lower my time again.

It may only be 0.06 of a second but it is still an improvement on last time - well done.

Matty, try the Penrite Sin brake fluid. Its their 600deg fluid, and is alot cheaper than Motul or Castrol. Worked fantastic in the GTR.

I was out there on Saturday. Saw your car and meant to come and say hi, but bumped into a few old mates and before I knew it the arfernoon was over.

Man that's alot of camber on the front of your ute!

Thanks Mildman

Hi Harry
It would've been good to finally meet. Maybe next time. I am currently using Motul RBF600 fluid. Are you saying the Penrite is better or just less expensive? I'm currently running 6 degrees of negative camber and 5 degrees of postive castor on the front end.

Thanks Matty

Sorry, but I didn't see this post untill now.

I do not believe that there are any plans to compete at any venue further afield than Bathurst at this time as he simply can't afford to be away from the office for more than a day, so everything needs to be squeezed into a weekend or so.

fair enough Dodgeman, I guess I'll just have to come down there again! Hopefully with a Datto to run against him.

Matty, is the pedal always soft or does it go off on the track? I'm not saying the Penrite is better than Motul, I haven't used the RBF600, but none of them last very long - they're exceptionally hydroscopic. If you're changing the fluid regularly, the Penrite is much more affordable.

I found my pedal was the best its ever been as soon as I swapped to Penrite Sin - a much firmer pedal. And absolutely no degradation over 5 laps of QR in the GTR - which is a heavy beast, fast in a straight line and slow around corners, so gives the brakes a big workout!
