I just couldn't believe how many 1600's and early Z's there were. The street the car show was held on, down one side of the street it was entirely Z's only probably 100 in a row. (with a couple of late model skyline to break it up.

The other side of the street was probably 60% 1600's with a few other models mixed in.

Then our little kingdom of 1200's + a single (very good looking) 120Y.

Great day and was good to put some faces to some login names.

yeah thanks andrew, i got the pistons off chris. he mentioned it was a bit of a saga but it all ended up well

matty the track was cool, i've only raced on a few tracks but never with a car that was setup properly. turn one was one that i didn't nearly master - the end of a big long straight into a balls and all fourth gear off camber sweeper that has you looking straight out to the ocean! was definately one for the handling cars with lots of long sweeping corners.

i believe the next nats are held in queensland, so queensland raceway could be it?

soo wish i was there but my other car wasnt any near completion. this will get me motivated and the boys from datnet.org tellin me how it was.

It was a fun weekend and once again another dose of motivation to go work on your own car!

I pulled out of the sprint too late to get a refund so I had to find somebody to replace me. My replacement did pretty well finishing 8th quickest for the day in a seriously underpowered (compared to the cars above him) 180sx.

I like how the bathurst spec GIO gtr was only 1 second faster than him!

Great day for the show and shine
I had both my coupes there plus a freinds coupe from Sydney( ex Melbourne car).
Some how i was asked to do judging,
Had to judge standard 1600,s and Z,s which took about 3 hours.(luckerly i was not asked to do modified 1600,s as the guys were still judging at 4.00 oclock puck up time)
All in all a great day.

What a great weekend! Boof you took heaps of great pix. I took about 100 but none seem to have come up very good. I'll shrink em and post em in about ten minutes (if we're lucky!)

Met some seriously interesting dudes, with some inspirational ideas. I'm so glad I got my coupe there, even if it wasn't as shiny as everyone else's.

Datnats in Brisbane in 2 years?? That was the plan. Might be a bit too far but I'm aiming to get a s***hot paint job by then
