mate i hope it all works out for you whatever the case if it sells or you keep it.

This car has inspired many and the hours and hours of work and thought and dollars you put into this car will go very cheaply if you do decide to sell. how do you price the pioneering of the CA18det into the 1200???

If you really need to sell maybe throw out a ballpark figure for people...

I'm absolutely shocked! I've wanted this car so bad for so long...but not like this.

I've finally got a CA18DET sitting on a ca18det_man crossmember in a white 1200 coupe!

Like a few others this is the car that inspired me to do it....the GTR beater from Mudgee.

Although I want it so bad....I just don't think I could do it.....phew, wow I gotta think about this one.

Here's hoping you win tattslotto or something next week Andrew....honestly,

Thanks Trent & others
I just worked out It had the stock CA18 in and running in 1997 so 10 years !! I had the A series for a while before that. Chris AKA Dattodude had a CA18de in well before this he helped me with some info when I was in the process of installing.
Ive owned the car for nearly 12 years It sure has come a long way.
I have entered the car at eastern creek circuit with autosports car club on the 7th of next month. It may inspire me to keep it. If my house sells in the next few weeks I may also change my mind.
Its a bit stressfull. A lotto win could also be helpfull but unlikley.
As for price I have told a few people already
that are interested what im after. Its not extremely $$ but well less than half its development cost. Put it this way Im not about to give it away.
Cheers Andrew

It's amazing how some peoples lives are filled with stressing events. I try to avoid them wherever possible.

I hope your house sells. I think that your Datto is as much a symbol of your youth as mine is to me. I would have a lot of trouble selling mine. Although I am thinking of selling my 20,000mi stocker in the next 12 months. I cannot justify having 3 cars, and selling that will give me a few years insurance money for my green one. But selling your main 1200, that's shocking news!

Do you still have the Wagon?

Good luck with it Andrew, but sorry to hear!

This car has been a big inspiration for me. Especially the 1.08 lap around Wakefield I had, only 4 secs of supercar time!

cant wait to see what the next project will be!
