I'm Looking around for a strong diff for the 120y (I assume they are the same track as a 1200). So I'm just wondering what the track width is.Cheers

The rear track of a stock Datsun 1200 is listed as being 1,245mm or 49"

Thanks so much. I've got a stanza diff for sale (on ebay for $1)and it's about 55". I was hoping a 1200 lover would take advantage of it . However it would need to be cut down for that.

Be care not to confuse Wheel track with Diff width , a stanza diff is 1400mm from axle face to axle face . 100mm wider than a std 1200 diff

Mazda b2600 diffs can be made to fit without shortening for the 120y ( depends on the wheel offset ) but they need the stud pattern changed ,, bit of a over kill for a N/a engine but they most likely come with a factory lsd .

Okay thanks for that Cam. I'd love an lsd. The 55" was face of hub to face of hub if you know what I mean. b2600 does that refer to a light truck that can carry 2600kg.?

No, the 2600 refers to the engine size. ie 2600cc- 2.6litre.
