Converting picture files

This isn't really datsun related...well it sort of is, its for pictures of my datsun.

But anyway...does anyone know how I can convert .jpg files to .gif ?? None of the programs I have will do it

when i use Paint shop pro 7 all I have to do is go to the file menu and click save as, then u should be able to select the file type and save it again (depending on the program u use)

Pretty much any graphics program should do it.
ACDsee does it. PaintShop. Photoshop. Etc.

Go onto www.c-net.com
Then click on Downloads at the top of the screen and then select graphics and there should be a whole heap of shareware type programs for you to use.

Or you could use Kazaa and download one of the above mentioned programs which may or may not be already registered...

Microsoft Paint that comes with Windows 98 and Windows XP will do it. Use the "File Save As" menu, and change the "type" to gif or jpeg.

JPEG is the new Internet standard, generally preferable to GIF unless you are making animations.

Paint, doesn't do it for me, it will only save as .bmp. But anyway, i'll get paint shop and see how that goes.

i cant remeber how but you set it to add what type of file it is on the end of the name if its allready on just take the .jpg of the end to .gif i just did it but it warns that it may not be able to open with some programs but i did it to like 20 pics and they still opened
