Laws for fuel sytem in a ute???

Im thinkin of doin a fuel cell/pump and surge tank in the back of my 1200 ute.
wondering if anyone has done this and what the legalities are? pics would be good Cheers, Wardy

Im pretty sure you will be ok as long as the drivers compartment is sealed properly between the tray and the drivers compartment...but in saying that you should speak to you local engineer and the cops could easily defect it until you have the engineers approval for it. (the old guilty until proven innocent trick)

yeah i am seein a engineer on monday to discuss it but i thought id ask u guys first and see if u have heard any info one the idea.
I always thought that because it is a ute it is designed to carry things in the back ( not that i plan to ) and this could cause some ting to slide and knock a hose or something and cause a BIG fuel leak!! But i suppose i wont kno for sure until i see the engineer.. Anyone else have any info? Thanks for the input converted Wardy You can view topic.
