Is $100 too much for a gutted, good condition 1200 door(in Australia)?
How about $150 for a good ute tailgate?

$100 sounds ok'ish, if it is really mint that is, check inside the actual door braces and at the bottom for rust, always try and talk them down though, never pay full price and stop caring
if they wont drop, have you tried any other wreckers?
but you could seriously get another ute for parts for like $300ish, you can over here.
$150 is pretty steep for a tail gate, what is exactly up with it? you can get anything re-welded in now days, did you know that your ute will go faster with out a tail gate :) that would
be my excuse, cheaper on the gas too...
yeah so wreckers will always try to get the most that they can, but usually they will drop their price, expecially if you are spending a couple of hundred with them.

Just a quicknote that a door from a 1200 sedan does fit a ute.. So look through the trading post for wrecking 1200 sedans and you can get the bits a lot cheaper.. In Melb you can
get a lot of Tawainese parts new for the 1200 utes new which are cheaper than the wreckers...
