how did you get it out of the car

and more importantely...

how would someone go about getting this in their car?

i pressume its all one piece...

might be keen if i dont have to chop my roof off to get it in,

1200Rallycar it would be a bolt in type.They come ready made in both weld in and bolt in a lot more work fitting a weld in cage.
The main hoop goes in first You need to have the interior seats ect striped out. Then its a matter of bolting and clamping all the other bits on making sure to keep them as close as possible the the pillars and roof line.

are bolt in cages still cams approvable for circuit racing or similar?

i pressumed being cams approved it was a welded cage, as this is required for rally now

When I had my cage made at Bond rollcages in sydney Craig (converted) also had one made his was bolt in mine weld in both passed cams log book no dramas unless they have changed the rules in the last year or two!! The alloy cages arent allowed anymore unless its already logged with cams (changed around 6 years ago)

Bolt ins are still alright. Check the manual for approved designs though.
