Hey guys I have been a little quiet over the past little while. Uni has been keeping me busy. The old man has been keeping the conversion going while I have been away from home and he has it now pretty much finished, so a few beers are heading his way.
Here are the latest pics

This is the adaptor bracket and spacer plate all machined and ready to use

All mounted up.

I made a small mistake in the design of the adaptor plates, as you can see in the last photo I used cap screws to bolt the plate to the strut but the lower pair of bolts will interfere with the steering arm, so once either me or the old man comes up with a suitable solution I will fix this and update this again.
(Edit): If someone else was going to build this all you would do is bolt the plate on from the other side, So the plate would be threaded rather than the strut. But because the plate is already drilled to clearance on the bolt it is a little harder than that. So not a problem for future conversions. Just a problem for me. lol
Apart from that all I need is some brake lines and another part of the ute can be painted up and put away.
I hope this has contained some useful information.
Cheers guys,
Dave.
