It actually works really well and as the car was built for drag racing/street i wanted the boost to come on a bit later and not run out of puff to early and as for driveability its actually good you can drive around and change under 2500 rpm and the cops dont even here it boosting.
Ive had the t and now the gt series turbos and that wasn't the power i wanted this car to make.

yeah ur right but theyre from south africa !!! ive seen some of the ads for these cheap turbo's, the names sound as cheesy as cheap dvd players. theres a reason they are so cheap.

sorry to be a thread thief, but while your all on the subject of cheap turbos, ive been offered a high flowed t28 for $200 from a guy from work, i havent seen it yet so i dont know of the condition, im just wondering whether or not its worth buying a 2nd hand turbo now or just saving my pennys for a new disco potato?

and how do i tell if its been high flowed/wats the diff between a standard turbo

(its for a ca18det ute, as u can prolly tell i dont know all that much about turbo's atm, but im learning)

regards Jimbo

I believe a hi-flow turbo will have had the compressor housing bored out and a larger front wheel fitted. At $200 its definately worth looking at

thanks for all the oppinions guys.. my ute will ba be mainly used for strip action so the turbo not bein SUPER responsive is not a real drama.. as i dont want the turbo to run outa puff in the top end.. I had a L20 turbo in my 1600 with a T04E and it wasnt too bad ta drive.. as turboute said u can shift gears at 2500rpm and it sounds N/A!!

Its only an option at this stage, just wonderin what everyone else thinks
