I have done the conversion. just wondering what 'part' you are referring to, because it was probably info from me that you saw. In which case, I probably can't be of much more help to you.

the process of engine swaps is the same no matter what engine you are trying to stuff into what car. with the exception of some cases where you can substitute factory x-members from other cars like the 120Y or Sunny. But you can't do that for the 1200 L series swap.

you will need to manufacture or at least heavily re-work engine mounts, crossmember mounts, and the gearbox x-member. You may (and in this case, will) need minor clearance mods to the sump and where the firewall meets the trans tunnel. you will also need a hydraulic clutch system, which is dead simple to convert.

No amount of words will tell you exactly what to do. At some point you will have to actually leave your keyboard, remove the A12 motor and box, and trial fit the L series to get an idea of what will be required.

Details of what parts (sump, x-member mounts, gearbox, diff, radiator & hoses, clutch master cyl etc) I have used are in the main forum somewhere, along with a description of what kind of mods are required for the transplant, but it sounds like you have already seen it and decided it was useless. It should have given you at least some insight into the kind of mods required and the amount of work involved? I'm sure a smart fella like you can figure the rest out for yourself.

l18_b110 is right..... The only way you are going to find out what is involved is to hoik out the a12 and drop in the L series.
I started this conversion and aborted it after many hours of cutting and re-making bits only to find out that it is simpler to put in the ca engine
