can you get a 12A rotary engine (non turbo)
engineered for a Datsun 1200 ute in NSW?
also, how much does the ute weigh?
Cheers,
Tom

No go mate. I was keen to do the 12a but it does not pass. Basically your rule is 2.2L naturally aspirated and 1.8L force fed. The rotartys count as double so the 12a is effectively a 2.4L, does not even comply as an atmo engine. Sorry to dissapoint.

Hmmm, I guess I'll have to make the a15 and the 13B interchangeable! Shouldn't be too much drama though, as I play footy with most of the coppers around town!

What about a 4AGZE? I know of a few around but they aren't as common as an SR/CA/Rota. Or, how about one of those Swift GTi engines, they are running some pretty good numbers in the states apparently.
