I say again LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE. If you separate we would still be looking in Aussy, and else where because that`s where all the good parts are

Why not give people a choice in the matter? We don't have to separate the forums, just making location mandatory in subject lines would suffice.

There's nothing wrong with requiring a little more information.

but there's nobody to enforce such rules ... this forum is a self-cleansing organ

I was thinking of making it a part of the form you fill you out when you post, and making it a requirement that way. No policing required, just automatic.

Yea, i was referring to segregating ONLY the classifieds forum. However, it sounds like just about everyone thinks its a bad idea. Its good to have unity!

The problem I was having is that it is hard to see when "skimming" what is in the US and what is in Aus or elsewhere. Location in the subject line would work. I don't think enforcement would be necessary, would just become customary if enough people did it.

I think we could put the country in the post but keep them all in one place. I've sent parts to Portugal, Finland and Aus......as well as buying them from Aus.

I've been a member since the old Yahoo site days. This site is a reflection of a very large group of people from all over the world who share a passion called the Datsun 1200. The shared interest & endless sharing of information has no borders. A 'wing' might be a 'fender' or a 'guard' depending on what side of the world you live on. But we're all talking about the same well loved car/truck/ute/estate/wagon/bakkie/ute/pickup. I find that searching thru all the many daily listing is half the fun, you may look thru dozens of items that have passing interest, & then the next thing you know, "hey I have one of those" or "I'm looking for one of those too" or "that's the answer I've been looking for". I say keep the site international just like Nissan/Datsun made the 1200 an international car.
ps. I'll be sure to put Canada in any classified postings I make.
