For Aussies Engine mounts arent a problem, the cortina ones are a smiple drill out and install. BUT they are $120 for the pair nothlene ones, but they are no problems going on.

I actually found out that volvo 240's (the 4 cylendermodels) use an engine mount that is almost idental to the cortina one, mabey they're a little smaller I dont know but that may be easier to find overseas?

And I was talking to my friend about this head and although he doesn't know much about it he sugested that mabey the extra 4 lines into the head may have been oil feed lines? it's something I never thought of although the twinspark theory is probly the correct one.

I would prefer a late motorbike head design as someone on this site is doing CBR I think but to suit the A series block

http://www.stereolithography.com/solidmodeling.php

Edit---
I finally read the whole thread a great little head and you would have to think there are at least another 20 japanese enthusiasts willing to spend this little money.

This post needs to make more waves to others.

Keep in mind that the dual plug arrangement was an efficency and emission tweak. If you read the operating principals in the factory manual you will find that the dual plugs were only used at lower throttle positions to get a cleaner and more complete burn. At higher power levels the ECU reverted to single plug operation to reduce detonation. At high power output dual plugs promote detonation as the 2 seperate flame fronts collide.

Atleast that's what I remenber reading in my 1980 Z20 manual...

LTR said this in a previous post:
Quote:
The size of the combustion chamber is 55.7cm3. (FIA Homologation's value) I will measure this with liquid when the head is here.

How does 55.7 cc's compare to a stock A series head?
