Murray's 1200 coupe is up at Landsborough, out the back shed in many pieces.

I got the guided tour over it about a year ago.

I think the 120Y was lent back to Murry for his son Josh to learn some dirt skills in but is more interrested in drifting his 180SX.

Just an update on Murray's 1200 coupe, it has been sold to Dave Gaines (Crusin Auto spares) who is lovingly restoring it. It will be back on the dirt very soon.

I know he is looking for a set of 45mm Webers and a Datrally manifold to suit a L series, does anybody know of any?

He could try either Stewart Wilkins or Arthur Jackson at SWR in sydney on 02-4577-2400.
I got a Datrally twin webber manifold off Arthur before he moved in with Stewart for
$50 & he had 2 others. As for the webers, they can still be bought new if needed. Could be worth a call, as they have lots of stuff in Stewarts workshop. & back in 1976 Athur made a pb210 replica to replace his 1600.Unfortuneately it suffered from snap oversteer, so he went back to 1600's. Wonder if that's still out there.

Nice bit of video guys...................that engine in the 120Y just Siiiiiings.

On a sort of releated note on specialstage.com the US rally forum they brought up the fact that car numbers are down at your Rallies and folks are bemoaning the cost of AWD Subies etc. USA rally is a niche sport , we have maybe 500 drivers in the whole country.

At our local Vegas event we'll get 18 entries or so (it eeks a minor profit) , and basiclly 3 of us do the major part of the work. My reward for a full days set-up , #2 man on rally day and tear down the following day is I get to drive the 00 car........to think I started organizing as a way to have a home town rally that I could compete in, oops 8 years later and no sign of entering any time soon as there is too much work to be done.

Funny about the AWD subies, when i was last into rally, when the wrx came to the states, all these guys started showing up at rally crosses with STi wrx's and 90% of them drove them so badly, yeah it was 'fast' but not fast enough to justify what it cost vs my b11 sentra paddock basher. Too much power, they couldn't hold a good drift even.

hehe everyone knows RWD is what driving is all about!

i'm starting to think about doing some road rallies again down here if i can get my fuel usage under control.

check out: www.itnrally.org if you're in so-cal. they have events pretty often, and I need a navigator.

Hey B210 are you doing the First Friday Nighters? We used to help out at Treeline and Rim , also put on a RallySprint at Tombstone Paintball park

The WRX rallycross crowd has gotten a lot better, back around 2000 I used to beat them with my old big blue Volvo 140 Rally car......made them crazy.

I'm trying to get tuned enough to do the training wheels event coming up.

years ago I used to go to tombstone rally crosses pretty often, initally with my impreza awd wagon, ej22 auto tranny, but on the paintball park side i could drift it all the way from the end of the pavement through the telephone pole forest, I think there were too many incidents with cars ending up in the trenches, because my last time in 03 we weren't allowed to mess around over there anymore.

There were a few guys that were good with the wrx's, I always wished they spent what they spent on rims on going to driving school.

i've been wondering if i can get someone to haul a few barbie cylinders to the check points in case i run really low on fuel. that's one thing having a support crew would help.
