My north american 1200 sedan has the same smell that WhiteSedan described.

If only I could get rid of the occasional gasoline smell it would be perfect. That hot-day vinyl smell is nice.

+1 on the vinyl smell. Most 1200's have a similar smell. I used to drive mine daily and more-or-less didn't notice it too much. Now that it's a weekend driver, I *really* notice the smell afte not being in it for a week or so.

Fortunately, my exhaust is in good shape and my carby was just gone through, so no funky smells.

My rear main leaks a tad, so I get a whiff of oil on a hot engine at stop lights occasionally..

IT"S THE BEST SMELL EVER!!!!

i love it, getting in and breathing it in, i get in my coupe when i'm out working on it and just breathing in there reminds me of it all, and everytime i get in a datsun it brings back so many memories.

the best!
