Is he one of these people?

BARTLETT Geoffrey
CARTER Rowan
ENKELMAN Andrew
FORZA John
LYONS John
MACKINLAY Keith
McHARG Kenneth
PRAIN Ian
STANNUS David
STEWART Gordon
STUTE Peter
TURNER Peter
WATTERS Jeffrey
WILLIAMS Kevin
YOUNG Colin

I suggest ca18de. They're cheap, fitting kits are available, plenty of power for a learner and you can swap in a ca18det with minimal effort when the time comes.

Your plans sound good, as it will leave you scope to add a turbo once you have your full licence. SR20DET can be engineered and made legal in SA, so i would think you shouldnt have a problem.
If you are looking for a fitting kit, we now have one avalible for the Sunny. The kit includes engine crossmember, gearbox crossmember, engine mounts, rubber mounts, and custom swaybar kit.
