1200 utes came with h165. so those diffs wont need cutting down.

Even a bluebird h165 will work with fwd offset wheels

from memory i think reuby has a 1000 coupe so he will need to cut the H165 down to fit in his car.

I haven't heard of any reports on these diffs other than the fact that the look nice. Can someone give us all an acurate report of how it works. Is there any way of adjusting how hard the torsen action works?? ie changing oil grades or shimming etc.

To my understanding the torsion is not adjustable, its to do with the ramp angles of the gears that determines the slip.

So let me get this straight.

Its just the diff centre. I will still need to go and find a H165 diff to have cut down.

I thought it was too good to be true. Here I am thinking that it is a complete diff, drum to drum with an LSD. for under $1000. still cheap, but not as good as I first thought... damn.... must keep dreaming

Not only the centre.

You'll need a donor centre which includes the housing, bearings, ring gear and pinion.

Sharing is caring...
1000's, 165's and the what now?

I want one, but gotta find out more about fitting them into 1000's....

hahaha

i did a fair bit of research into it but to no avail. I got diff measurments and all but decided its gonna be cheaper and easyer to get a R31 b/w cut down.
They may well bolt in, but they are 2" wider and have a different axle spline to the later H165 and therefore the LSD. And no 1000 axles arnt interchangeable!

so take me off the list please!
