Hey,
well I'll start with a bit of a tale. My friend bought the 1000 for 250 bucks over two years ago now. In just under 6 months he had all the rust removed and repaired into a perfect state, the interior gutted, and a A15 motor from the states. Now I'm thinking about buying it, its not really for sale but for the right price it will be Now I've contacted an aussie about custom front brakes to replace those old tired out drums.

Heres where I'm lost, I want to see some decent power out of this motor about 150 HP (I know thats nearly double what it was stock) But I belive with a larger carb, 8.5:1 comp pistions, a 2JZE supercharger, a cam grind(something mild and streetable), and a port and polish I should be at about these numbers. Can anyone tell me where to find a larger carb, and the name of a shop that will grind the cam?

Now for the suspension wich is my last worry. Where can I find kits to replace all those worn out bushings? And what could I possibly do for coilovers?

My searches have been hopless it seems like these cars are pretty much extinct. Any help will be greatly appricated.

Regarding Coilovers, nobody here has done it (yet - in progress though) to a b10 but you might want to browse THIS LINK for some inspiration.

Check out THIS THREAD regarding supercharging your motor.

Welcome to the club!

Member Subwoffers is also from Canada and has a B10. Drop him a line - I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you!

There is nothing wrong with the factory front suspension on the B10 in many ways its superior to the later 1200 strut type setup.

With a good engine builder you will get 150HP from your A15 without a blower, the really hot ones are nudging 200HP naturally aspirated.

yep, even ferrari used a transverse leaf spring front suspension on some of classic their light racecars.

I think the back end needs more work, the whole axle is too light, weak and open, a little extra power easily shags the diff. I reckon a heavier whole axle, stabilizer/sway bar and panhard rod would not only mnake it heaps tighter and able to get the power down but add some weight which the back end really needs. they are way too easy to swap ends, and sit there spinning every time u take off when its wet.

from what i gather, its around $5000 aud to buildup a full house 150hp nat-asp A motor, but about half that to boost it, but a turbo or supercharger under your bonnet is a more obvious giveaway its non-standard so probably non-legal unless u get it approved.

the great thing about these is they can be great fun at still legal speeds with not that much spent on them
