> DD what do you think???
Are you asking me or some other dd? I'm not a racer, so really don't know. Looks like a low-buck way of doing it, so it's probably the way I would go (if the electric motor is reliable) ... the photos I've seen have small pumps, sometimes more than one. The more interesting question is how does the pump work? Is it a standard dry-sump pump from a Lotus or something? The motor is more or less obvious, the drive is visible (cogged belt). Intriguing photo.

Bills a wacky one thats for sure.
He's the guy that put me onto my flywheel manufacturer. I pick it up Monday by the way. I think it will proably work but I'll go with my new pump I think.

No its not me. I wish!!!!
Its Bill Sherwoods race car setup and apparantly works fine. However I spotted an isuzu nkr diesel truck alternator with a factory pump on the back like in the photo. I wonder if I could use as an oil pump? Ill have to find out more about this budget dry sump setup from Bill.

Sorry to be ignorant, but can someone explain the concept of a drysump to me.
I've heard the term but don't know exactly what it is

Looks horribly like a VW dry sump pump i have grafted to an alternator pulley, using a Gilmer drive toothed belt. Should work well and be cheap
