okay after further talks with some friends, i was thinking of using a hole saw and going through the tunnel and the mount bulge and running the cable inside the car. anyone have any thoughts on that?

i was going to use rubber grommets to cover it and put the cable through that.

whaty do you guys think?

Thats the way it goes through the firewall.
So all you are doing is sliding the stock gromet down the cable and fitting it in the tunnel.
It will be ok unless you position the cable where it can be damaged buy seats, feet and pedals.

i was going to run it inder the carpet along the side of the tunnel so it should be out of moving parts and harms way.

thanks for the reassurance, i hate cutting holes in my baby!
