Providing it's been built to the required standards (and it looks as though it has been thus far) there's no reason why it couldn't be road registered in New Zealand. It's not a lot different to any other hot rod. Yes, there would be a hoop or three to jump though. but it could be done.

my ass no engineer will aprove that the c4 yes the diff yes motor no the whight is a issue here in aust ca 18 det is the biggest motor legaly but if its going to be a drag car you can stick 572 ci in it but I don't know the laws in nz

In NZ, if i you can satisfy the cert engineer that the vehicle has been built to the standards then the weight should be no problem. I met a bloke who has a V8 in a lotus super 7 replica.
