OK, Im selling one of my prized possesions.
an 1980 model 1200 ute that is currently running a twin 40mm webered a15 that has had a thorough going over. It runs a standard 4 speed behind it and haven't had any problems with it,but i dont drop the clutch or thrash this car. Im undecided to sell it with this motor or an a15 running a down draft weber and extractors or the original factory motor in excellent condition.Depends on the buyer.
The ute itself is one of the very best original utes you will find. Im sure you are thinking yeah, right! However, any genuine buyer would have to agree if they took the time to see whats on offer out there and then had a look at this one.
It has the original paint in very good condition. The colour is brown or tan.The tray is almost untouched, it has no dents or major scrapes. You could block it back and paint it and it would be pretty much perfect.
It has 2 tiny spots of rust, they are very tiny but im am mentioning them as i feel i should.
They are no where near the engine bay or firewall or front floor or chassis in any case and could be fixed with a touch up pen.
The interior is pretty smick, there is a crack in the dash but i will be replacing it so it matches the rest of the car. There are no rips or tears any where else inside. It has got a cd player and a pair of speakers fitted. Otherwise its stock as a rock.The car comes with the original owners manual and log books. It was sold brand new by Ira Burk in brisbane.
On the exterior the are a few very minor dints( knuckle dints) and the original tailgate has a slight dint, but i thought id prefer the original factory gate over a replacement, as it is still in very good nic.
It has had datsun sunny disk brake struts installed and runs trx fifteen inch rims with 195/50/15 tyres.
It also has a straight thru 2 inch system on it which is very loud but sounds pretty tuff.
Now, i have considered other utes and the prices that are being asked. Most i would believe are very average compared to mine.Especially when someone is asking over 7 grand for a car with a crook paintjob, and a dodgey interior.
SO with that said, I will be looking for offers over the 8,000 dollar mark. Feel free to look around at other cars first, there is an "immaculate" 1200 ute on ebay at the moment.He wants 8 grand for his car, I think mine is better. Easy.
I will have some pics available towards the end of this week. I will be able to send them thru msn messenger, for genuine buyers, not timewasters.
I would prefer people come and look at the car themselves as you can make up your own mind, but once again i dont have the time or patience for timewasters.

Lastly, i am offering this car to datsun 1200 club members first, because i hope that it will go to a good home and be apprecated for what it is, and not hacked up and pulled apart to put a ca18 or whatever in it. It goes quite well as it is, and it would be a shame for someone to start chopping it up, but i suppose if you have the cash you can do what you like to it.
