Demo, I have a Braided line with Bango type fittings on each end, they sell for $135.
There not cheap, but are a quality product.
Cheers Scott

The Datsun factory setups used a 1/4 steel line (same as a brake line) from the master cylinder down to the body near the slave cylinder, then a short rubber hose over to the transmission.

Braided line is used for strength and to reduce stretching so is more quality, and looks better too. On the other hand the factory hoses last forever, mine is 35 years old and still good.

does anyone know what the maximum length of flex line is that you can use, not braided? does it depend what it is being used for? also anyone know somewhere in ipswich/brisbane who makes customlength braided or standard flexline? is being used for clutch line on ca box in 1200.

Talk to a brake shop. They should be able to sell you what you need. I ussually get one off another car and shape it up to fit. I used a 910 line on my 1200.

stainless brake hoses with the right adapters will work great for the clutch too. some of the adapters may need to be ordered, unless you have hot-rod shops that stock metric parts, none here do...

Hydraulic hose shops might be helpful, but they seem to be skiddish about making anything to use on an automobile...

just get the adapters and then you can use off the shelf AN3 brake hoses.
