Looking to replace/renew my rubber engine mounts in 1200 Coupe.
What have others used/tried as a close replacement? (Maker and Part no. would be good).

Use cortina ones, not sure which model though. You need to trim the top of the crossmember a tad and drill the holes out to M12.

try and get b310 mounts, they look a bit more solid. The cortina mounts i got ($55 each) were a good 10mm taller than standard.

If you are not racing, I recommend the Nissan part. Mine are 35 years old and still working. The B310 ones have a slightly bigger thread (so you can drill out the 1200 mounts) and are a bit harder rubber, if you don't mind the vibration they are fine for use with an A12 engine.

It is a racecar. Std mounts have been fine so far.
Just a bit old/perished and I'm concerned they will tear apart during a race and that I'll have an engine jumping around damaging itself and the car.

Sunny mounts are the go,minor mods required, but not rocket science.

You could always though a bolt through them. Check out this pic that I drew of what i have used. (apologies for the old sketch, it was before I had a scanner or digital camera.)
![]() its a bit crude, but this way the mount acts the same way as normal, but if it cops some excisive load, it hits the nylock nut and stops the mount from over streching. It doesent transmit any extra vibration into the chassis, so it feels like normal, but with the insurance of a $5 bolt. You can view topic.
