Just out of curiosity, are 1200 sedan 2 doors in demand in aus? I know that there are in low numbers....

Yeah pretty hard too find these days.

As too demand well if they were reasonably priced then i'm sure the demand would be a lot higher. But because they are very hard too find, especially in good condition, you pay a lot for them.

As far as i understand most people would prefer to buy a sedan, ute, coupe or even wagon for a third, sometimes a quarter of the price of a 2 door in the same condition here in aus.

I ask because there is a buddy of mine who sold something like 8 510's (2 doors)to this guy who imported them into australia. I figure if anyone wants to get a handle on one I could shoot him a line and tell him that there is a demand for 2-door sedans over there, you know... just looking out for the 1200 community....

Ask that guy if he can bring a couple of utes back this way. I have cash...

Yeah it would be worth investigating. I dunno if you would make much of a profit though once you factor in the shipping costs but hey, may be worth a try. I know there would be plently of interest especially as race cars and especially if they are in good condition.

Those 510's would have been worth it though. As i understand it they are rare as hens teeth. My mate has been on the lookout for one in good condition for some time. I think he has just about given up and is gonna buy a granny spec wagon instead.

You need to be a bit carefull if you want a 2 door to race in Aus,as only aussie delivered cars comply to cams regs.

dd, when I talk to my buddy I will tell him that there are utes in demand here.... as far as me making a profit.. no. For this guy to make a profit, he did last time he imported the 8 over, I myself would like to see members. enthusiasts get the car they want. So I will shoot a line over to my buddy and let him know that 2-door 510's/1200 sedans are in demand. Quinn, if you like I can see if I can get you in contact w/ him. It could be a win/win deal.
