Brakes/Struts into 1200 Ute

Hi guys,
Basically I'm asking what can i do?! I have a 1200 ute, 1985 model and am in the processes of completely building the thing up to a very very trackable (yet daily driven) spec. I have searched every section of this site, and am damn close to memorizing the wiki but am more confused than when i started! I want a disc front end preferably with two or more pots per caliper. Wheel size is not an issue either, i have a set of 12's, 13's and 15's here now! I'm not really all that stressed about cost as i've already stuffed up once and don't want to do it again. I'd love to hear what is a straight bolt in, and what is preferred by many of you. and if anyone has anything great for sale let me know! From what i understand i want a stanza strut, but i can only seem to buy strut inserts? and i have a set of S13 SR20 brakes and also a set of Hilux four pots. HELP!!! thanks in advance, Brodie

first thing you want to do is get yourself a pair of stanza steering or sunny arms(balljoints also if you want an extra 10mm track either side)
then you will have the base for using pretty much any of the larger datsun struts then you can go buy a ready to bolt in coilover strut and big brake setup MADDAT datsport and so on this sites info needs to be rewritten so its less in favour of stanza struts and more in favour of the better ones ie all but stanza and sunny

So does that mean stanza or sunny lower control arms and balljoints will fit straight onto 120y struts etc and wil give an extra 20 mm track as well as negative camber ?

i would change it, but the whole setup sorta needs to be changed so it lists what you need first (LCAs and what not) then the struts that you can fit up to it
bob, stanza sunny late 120y and late 1200 ute LCAs are all the same, and are the same length as 1200 sedan ones....so no gains camber wise there the track increase comes from the stanza balljoints(10mm increase either side) and the different offset of the stanza hub (the other 10mm either side) so if you have or get the later LCAs and use stanza balljoints with late ute or late 120y steering arms it will give you an extra 10mm either side....so more camber and track

crzy_1200_ute, i assume you are replying to lowendtheory...if so you may have missed some things in his first post, like:
