coupe and ute are more or less the same, i think the U bolt plate mount may be slightly different......not that ive ever looked under my coupe
torago ones are good, nice and stiff and slightly shorter than 1200 ones should also work in sedans utes and coupes, in the sedan you have to use a larger bolt and maybe make the shock mount tabs a bit bigger to accomodate

ill take a guess at 89, late 80s anyway
if you look through my album there is a pic of them and i think the actual year of the torago is in there

Compressed and uncompressed comparison with Datsun Coupe Competition Shock. The SAAB shock uncompressed about 40mm before I could take pic so I'd say they are oil/gas assist unlike the konis. They are about as firm as the konis are on mid setting.
SAAB 900 Front Shock 360 Uncompressed / 275 Compressed Koni 1200 Coupe Comp 430 Uncompressed / 270 Compressed I measured without rubbers on top so would have to add say 10mm to compressed figure. ![]() ![]()

I'll grab a part no tonight boof, they are the ones in the datsun competition handbook pdf downloadable from here.
Yeah the saab ones are sweet, have them in my car now, only thing is because they are so damn short I dont know how you'd go with stock ride height ie actually being able to compress the spring to bolt them up, may have to try them in someones stocker.
