How are you going to get it engineered and up and running. Wouldn't you been better off with an A14/15 as a daily driver.

Since the CA, diff and struts are already fitted it would be easier to just finish it off then go out and buy all the gear to put it back to standard. The hardest part is the room to store everything.

I still can't understand why you would buy another headache to try and get on the road as a daily driver when for the same money you could of bought a nice clean stock example which would appreciate in value. The other question was how you would engineer it to get it on the road. Wasn't the engineering the problem with the ute also?

Chris unless you have constructive criticism about either the wagon or the ute bugger off n stopp being an arse

in regards to engineering woes with the ute if u actually READ the thread you would have picked up on th fact that the ute's chassis rails were shifted about an inch or so.

and at what point was this said about the wagon...oh that's right IT WASN'T u D/h bugger off unless u got something constructive to say

What my wife is trying to say is this will be a budget build. The only thing the wags is missing is a brake booster and brake lines which is bugger all really. Basically, it's a complete car that just needs to be pieced together. I've got plenty of free time coming up so it should be ready fairly quickly.

And by the way, cars aren't appreciating assets (especially datto's). For every million dollar Phase III there have been over a million other cars sent to the scrap heap. I would hardly equate a 1200 wagon to the level of a Phase III, you wouldn't even get 10k for a schmicko stocky, yet you'd get that for a decent CA.

It's already low enough. The roof line is my nipple height, and I'm only 5'11"!!

Whorida I luv the way that as soon as someone makes any comment about your cars you take it to heart and go off and start getting personal. Yes I have been reading the threads and I know that the ute rails on your ute have been shifted and you have done nothing about it to fix them but concetrated on the body which still won't be engineered. As for the wagon I am not sure if it registered but won't it have to be engineered with a CA18 to be registered. As for appreciating I am not talking huge money but clean 1200 utes that are slightly modified are worth the same if not more that the mega dollar 18" wheel, mega stereo utes.

Last I checked mate I didn't go off about your comments, so if you felt offended enough to reply I'm sorry.

We bought the wagon for the running gear but as stated were surprised by how she looked. It just needs a little tidy up, and you're right, engineering (which is a whopping $700, which is stuff all). This thing should be on the road for less than 10k.

And if you think your slightly modified 1200 ute is going to appreciate you live in a fantasy world. I doubt anyone on here would pay more than 5-6k for an immaculate a series ute. There was someone trying to sell an a12 ute for 10k not long ago on here and eBay and the seller was shocked that no one wanted to pay more than 6k.

Mate, I could go on forever over what you've said, the hypocritical nature of it and everything, but I really don't care now. Just remember that while you were critical about my wife's projects she and I have never once said anything critical about your pride and joy.
