My personal opinion, never change a car's color to something else they did'nt come out with from the factory.
Do some research of the colors the datsun could be purschased in from the dealers and paint it one of those colors. Your car will keep more value this way.
Black is difficult to keep clean.
Black shows dents easier.
Black will make the car hotter on the inside.

there are alot of myths on black.
in my experience black was no harder to keep clean(or looked no dirtier) than my blue or harlequin colours i had.
and in the hot QLD weather, it never got any hotter inside than my white falcon ute.

Im all for this as well, I never change my dato's colours from factory at all, they have all stayed the original color. Only my racecar is going to be different but still period color scheme, pastels and such.

Also I would never buy a matt black car, too easy to hide dents and bogwork and always look tacky.

Thats my 2c anyway.

in my opinion i HATE matt black cars, makes them look cheap and sh*t. A faided painted car looks better...

a proper matt/satin black paint job, red steelies with moon caps or simmiler, lotsa chrome, light red tint, dice and dumped... now that is H-O-T! Old hotrod stylin!

I would love to do that to a datto! Not EA falcon rattle can black to pass the pits coz its been pranged!

Maybe with some retro scolops too, and checkerboard... theres always checkerboard...

Chris i agree with you 100%! I want to make my parts car into that style thing, with matt black paint, red rims with whitewalls, dumped on its guts, venetians, leather seats, a sunvisor, headlight eyelid things and an a10 with quad motorbike carbies and a straight through exhaust that revs to 10,000rpm.

Terry, would I be able to take you up on that offer? could you please do a kb10 with matt black paint, the wheels below and on its guts?

Thanks!

edit... i forgot pinstripes!
