I contacted nissan in South Africa to ask about prices for new parts, just interested.
Know some people over there and got me thinking etc.
Prices are here if anyone was interested:

"Please be advised that the prices are in US$, excluding Freight and Insurance

Im pretty sure, us SA boys could source these parts from scrapyards, much cheaper.
The nissan bakkie has been around here for years now, and are still built today.
There is a March 2007 nissan bakkie standing here in Kroonstad at a scrapyard, had a side smash. It will be stripped for spares soon, as soon as the insurance writes it off. Enginge, running and suspention still in great nik (12000kms on the clock).

Some idiot might mistaken it for a missile launcher or something...*hehehe* I think one would be better of sourcing secondhand bakkies up to 3 years old, and importing those parts. They hardly ever have a lot of k's on them, and the parts go for dirt cheap because they are so plentiful...

The March 2007 ute mentioned before, was sold to a buddy of mine for R10000-00 (1654.48 AUD), complete, no spare stripped.

He even drove it home without any hassels. The Ute needs to have the rear quarter panel and side sill repaired. Needs a new door and front fender. No Other damage.
