i was playing with the steering box and now it has like a full turn of play b4 she turnes the wheels? tryed the adjuster screw in the top and nothing can some 1 help and give me some idea

wat did you play wit ? i pulled mine apart and put it bak together and theres the screw to take the slack out other than that i cant think of much elce except u might of unscrewed it ?

do you do the nut up that holds the steering column to the steering box properly?

i had a 180b that had no splines left on the input of the steering box so it had a good half a turn before the bolt holding the column to it jammed and started the car turning
was kinda scary to drive

Looks like you don't have a workshop manual. These are very helpfull when working on things that you are not familiar with. Highly recomended.

i undid the 4 bolts on the top and tryed to pull the colloum out but couldnt do it then put it back in and this has happened

arrr its very hard to explane but i would say you need to undo the nut under the steering box and then you can locate it ( the weird sharft ) sorry dont know wat its called but if you undo the nut under the box and pulll it apart you see how it works :) i was it you sercamstance not long ago i should get a 1200 manaul

if you pull (then jiggle) the steering column apart without removing the pitman arm, then you need to pull it all apart and read the factory service manual.

You can't easily disassemble and reassemble it, because it doesn't matter how careful you are during reassembly, the bottom bearing gets pushed out of position, and basically is now rattling inside the steering box.

I know I'm right. Been there...done that.
