#1 any one interested in bolt in 6 point roll cages

iv dicided that i might start building roll cages
i have a bolt in won in my 1200 coupe witch i planning to use the same style just fix up a few bits

i have the following shells im planing on making roll cages for

1200 coupe
sunny coupe
bluebird trx
mitsubishi cordia turbo
200b

more cars will be added im looking for rusted out shells so i can take measurements and make dumies if any one has them laying around im ringing up the wreckers and my dads mate has lots of rusted out cars some dattos so ill take wat i can get lol
unshure on prices thow so ill have to make one first then work out the prices
and does any 1 know wat metal thay use for them and are that adr and cams approved

thay come with a bar to put harnesses on ect lol if any one is interested or knows wat metal to use can ya please give me some info lol

um i havnt started them yet thats wot im trying to find out lol wat metal or metaerial passes cams lol thay will also be able to be painted can get them powdercoated for extra price lol ill take some pics of my old one and post them up and get sugestions and stuff

Why do you keep laughing out loud?

I'm sure some of the better versed guys in motorsport could point you in the right direction for the regulations, but there will be a cams book detailing the requirements of roll cages.

Telling someone it's T6 alloy would most likely not be enough information either. You may have to quote the number like 6061/6063 etc as well as the temper rating.

im not shore of wat material to use if someone could point me in the right derection on wat most people would use and wat is cams approved

i dont think alloy is approved by cams anymore due to the fact that it fatigues over time

yep, all cages need to be steel unless you have your car log-booked and the alloy cage has been in there since before the rules changed.

you arent allowed to paint the cages are you? so the signitory can see that the welds are good...
