hello all my 1200 sedan is currently at work gettin a full respray and was just thinkin to my self quietly about a few things and couldnt really answer them so i am wondering if someone else could for me?
with the hydraulic clutch on a sr20de where have you mounted the master cylinder and you got any pics of it? also what have you done about a heater? using the standard heater or a hair dryer? when i removed my engine i cant remember if i removed any heater hoses and i dont think the heater was actaully hooked up and working so if anyone could answer these for me it would be great.

cheers matt

Hey matt,
I probably can't help with the master for the clutch because I have an SR in my sunny but I have used two hair dryers for the demisters because it was to much of a pain to marry up the SR hoses with the sunny ones. The 1200 hoses may line up differently and be easier but the sunny ones were a different size and without lifting the motor a bit, they wouldn't have gone through the firewall (because the block is set back close to the firewall).
If you want a pic or two of my clutch master just yell out and I can put some up for you.
Cheers

If you use a small clutch master with the resivor remotely mounted it will just clear the intake manifold.

i used a whole Bluebird clutch pedal assembly and bolted it to the firewall works well and cheap too.

I mounted the clutch master (pictured below) directly beside the brake master cylinder and it clears the manifold with ease. Maybe different manifolds can be a problem. Mine is S14DE

I had probs doing that cause the brake master cylinder did not allow me to fit a clutch cylinder beside it, thats why I bolted in the whole pedal assembly. Basically it pretty easy to loacte cause i just lined up the pedal rubber inext to the brake pedal rubber where Id bemost comfortable using it and then marked the holes I needed to drill on the firewall and drilled then...really easy. Phunks idea is the most widely done method and is also good. I would do that if you are still using the stock brake master cylinder....
